Important changes in the energy sector: new tariffs for electricity transmission and distribution for 2024

Ukrainian enterprises are preparing for significant transformations in the energy sector as the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) on December 9 decided to set new tariffs for electricity distribution and transmission for the next 2024.

According to the approved standards, the tariff is UAH 528.57/MWh, which is 8.9% higher than in the second half of 2023. The NEURC also revised the tariff structure for 26 energy distribution companies for 2024 and set and approved new tariffs for electricity distribution services on January 1.

The increase in tariffs is due to the need to adapt to new economic conditions and meet international standards of energy efficiency and CO2 emission reduction.
